F10PEEK

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a colourless organic thermoplastic polymer of the family of polyaryletherketones (PAEK), used in engineering applications.

F10PEEK distinguishes components in PEEK, a high performing technopolymer, produced by Fluorten Srl, through production processes for injection moulding, compression and CNC processes, with highly advanced, latest-generation equipment. From powder to the finished product with moulds designed and made in-house as a further guarantee of quality and repeatability of the final performances.

PROPERTIES

  • Young’s Modulus 3.6 GPa
  • Breakage load from 90 to 100 MPa
  • Temperature of vitreous transition about 132°C
  • Melting temperature about 343°C
  • Useful working temperature up to 260°C
  • It is attacked by halogens and strong Brønsted and Lewis acids as well as by some halogenate compounds and aliphatic hydrocarbons at high temperatures.
  • It is slowly soluble in concentrated sulphuric acid at ambient temperature.

WORKABILITY

From the material to the finished product F10PEEK is processed by Fluorten through injection moulding, compression moulding, machining with CNC lathes and milling machines. The moulds are designed and made internally to guarantee the continuity in time of the quality of the products, which are controlled with modern and sophisticated quality control laboratory instruments. Specific certificates are issued on request.
